Christmas Hiking Parnitha
December 26, 2023 @ 09:00 - 16:00
Christmas hiking in Parnitha, with caps, melomakarona, trains,
and beautiful landscapes. Tuesday 26 December we pack our backpacks,
put on our hats and take the train from Athens to the picturesque Sfendali
(located just 45′ from the center of Athens on the way to Chalkida)
to hike in the heart of the Parnitha National Park.
A very beautiful route that remained unchanged from the devastating summer fires,
with a panoramic view, green landscape, red deer and the picturesque relief of
Mount Parnitha awaits us to explore it in a day of festive hiking.
Our hike starts at the train station of Sfendali and goes to Avlonas,
its duration is about 5 to 6 hours and its distance is 14km Departure and return to Athens
by train from the village of Avlona.
