An Epic Trail in Northern Italy with the most Adventure company in Greece.
8 days on one of the most famous paths in the Dolomites in ALTA VIA 4,
120 km Non-stop adventure in the peaks of the Dolomites, harmoniously
combining hiking and Via Ferrata in a trip of a lifetime,
with beautiful landscapes taken from the most beautiful dreams.

The combination of hiking and Via Ferrata at an altitude that
often exceeds 2,500 meters (!!!) makes this trip unique.
The Dolomites are a mountain range located in northeastern Italy
known for their spectacular beauty and hiking trails.
One of the most popular hikes in the Dolomites is the Alta Via 4 trail,
which offers a challenging experience for hikers of all levels.

The route is dedicated to the mountaineer Au Grohmann who was the first
to cross this particular route in the mid-19th century and passes through
unique and very special points in the Dolomites such as Tre Scarpèri, Croda dei Barànci,
Cima Grande di Lavaredo, Cristallo , and Sorapìss.

 

Program Alta Via 4 The epic hike and via ferrata in Dolomites 

 

Day 1 – Saturday 6 July
Travel day / Road trip / City Tour 

Alta via 4 the epic hike and via ferrata in dolomites
Airport El. Venizelos – Milan Malpensa Morning
departure from Athens to Milan. The flight is scheduled with Aegean at 10:30 in the morning.
From there we will depart in SUV vehicles for the most famous
city of the North, Bolzano.
Relaxation and preparation for the next day when the trail starts,
as well as a city tour, will be the program of the day.

Day 2 – Sunday July 7th
Road trip / Hiking / Via Ferrata

Very early wake up – 06:00 – and after our breakfast,
we will depart for the heart of the Dolomites to a small picturesque village,
San Candino, where we will start our hike.
Our group will start from San Candino, which has stunning views of the surrounding mountains,
lush forests and alpine meadows, enjoying the fresh mountain air and beautiful scenery.
As we hike, the changing landscapes will surprise us. The hike passes through lush forests and alpine meadows to vertical cliffs and steep ridges.
The highlight of the first day’s hike is the summit at 2,466 meters, with its panoramic view
of the entire Dolomites and especially the stunning TreCime di Lavaredo.
Day destination Rifugio Locatelli.
For those who can stand it.. But our day doesn’t end here!!! Cold beer and departure for the
Via Ferrata Torre di Toblin where we will be introduced to the Via Ferrata
techniques and spend a very beautiful afternoon two hours.

Day 3 – Monday July 8th
Hiking / Via Ferrata

The third day of our trip will be like the whole trip, an unforgettable adventure.
We start from Rifugio Locatelli, and immediately we will see the amazing beauty of the Dolomites.
The trail winds through a variety of landscapes. One of the highlights of the day is the Galleria
di Prima Guerra Mondiale, an incredible trail that shows us the history of the Dolomites.

For those who can stand it.. Lunch break at the shelter where, like the previous day, we will leave our
things to start the Via Ferrata. The Via Ferrata experience is unique and the scenery makes it incredible.
The Via Ferrata Merlone is a three-hour route with spectacular views of the south face of Tre Cime.
Destination : Rifugio Fonda Savio

Day 4 – Tuesday 9 July
Hiking / Via Ferrata

Morning wake up and departure towards Rifugio Vandelli, located near the popular Lake Sorapis.
Easy and very passable the first part of the path that leads us to the valley where Lake Misurina is located.

There the path becomes steeper, but leads us to the unique Lago de Sorapiss.
Another Via Ferrata awaits us to cross it, the famous Ferrata Vandelli.
This particular day is quite tiring, but its images are very special.
Destination : Rifugio Vandelli

Day 5 – Wednesday 10 July
Hiking / Via Ferrata

The day requires a very early awakening – 05:30 – breakfast in hand
and departure – 06:30 – for the most difficult Via Ferrata of our trip.
The day could be characterized as the motto of the company – Wild Nature – because
we will really see the wild beauty that the Dolomites offer. The most demanding Via Ferrata is this one.
A very beautiful route with a lot of verticality, which moves west of Croda del Fogo.

With the completion of the first Via Ferrata, a second follows, the Sentiero
Carlo Minazzio which is mainly hiking with Via Ferrata support in the difficult parts.
Accommodation at Rifugio San Marco. This particular day is a true wilderness
experience and undoubtedly the most difficult of the entire route.

Day 6 – Thursday 11 July
Hiking / Via Ferrata

Last day hiking the slopes of Mount Antelao – the second highest mountain
in the Dolomites! Although slightly easier than the previous one, this day is still quite challenging.
The day starts with a gentle hike up to Forcella Picolla and then drops down to Rifugio Galassi.
From Rifugio Galassi the route climbs steeply and then turns into a Via Ferrata.

And if the previous day we thought we saw everything the Dolomites have to offer,
this day’s experience will offer us even more beautiful images. From the refuge, the route climbs steeply and then turns into a
Via Ferrata that leads to the Forcella del Ghiacciaio. From Forcella del Ghiacciaio the path descends into the Antelao valley before ascending
again to Forcella Piria. From here begins the penultimate part, up to Rifugio Antelao.
Rest and departure for the last part of the hike, a descent on an old dirt road of 8 km to reach the village of Pozzale.

Day 7 – Friday July 12th
Hiking / Relaxation day

Today is a day of rest, but also a short but beautiful route in the Val di Funes valley,
where we will hike the Adolf-Munkel-Weg which is one of the most beautiful paths in the Dolomites.
It is a circular route of 10 kilometers, which moves at an altitude of 1,600 to 2,100 meters.

In the middle of the route we will stop to enjoy our tea and food in a very beautiful shelter,
having in front of us images of unique beauty.

8th Day – Saturday 13 July
Hiking / Via Ferrata


Return journey to one of Italy’s most impressive Via Ferrata.
The Via Ferrata delle Aquile (the Via Ferrata of the Eagles),
is located on the eastern side of Cima Roda, in the Dolomites.

The route is panoramic and aerial with an absolute view of the plain,
but also of the Brenta mountain from the Dolomites to the Adamello glacier,
from the Adige valley to the Valle dei Laghi and Lake Garda.
This particular Via Ferrata is very exposed, but also very safe on the vertical
sections with impressive simple suspension
bridges and adrenaline-producing circular steps.
And after the dose of adrenaline, our destination is Como where we will spend our last night in Italy.

9th Day – Sunday 14 July
Road trip / Tour

Day of relaxation and sightseeing in the wider area of ​​Como.

weather phenomena or other unstable factors that may occur and prevent safe
access to it. In these cases, the most important factor taken into account
is the safety of all participants in the activity.

During the time that one of our programs (activity) is active (i.e. we are in the activity area)
and it is necessary to modify or change or cancel part of the program due to weather
or other unstable factors that may prevent the safe execution of the activity,
the company does not return the tickets to the participants.

In the event that any of the participants cancels their participation
