Canyoning Kallithea in the sister canyon of Gorgopotamos, which is the most beautiful and most technical gorge of the Peloponnese that unfolds before us for a unique experience.
At a distance of just 90 minutes from Athens, in a very beautiful semi-mountainous village in the Peloponnese, we have this little but amazing canyon that is waiting for us to explore it.
The canyon of Kallithea is the continuation of the canyon of Agios Loukas and is located near Xylokastro of Corinthia.
The waters of the canyon are crystal clear and have a turquoise colour with a clay floor.
Canyoning Kallithea consists of 24 descents, stunning waterfalls and 20+ small and large jumps and slides.
To complete this activity we will need at least 4-5 hours depending on the speed of the group.
In order to do this specific canyon, everyone must have some prior experience in canyoning and a descent of a smaller canyon in the previous days must be completed in order to ascertain the ability of the group wishing to descend the Kallithea canyon.
The canyon is narrow with some openings at intervals, the main route is about one kilometer with 200+ meters of descent.
One of its most beautiful points is its incredible waterfall that ends in a beautiful lake, as well as a cave that is located towards the end of the trail.
Its availability is only possible during the summer months since the winter waters are prohibitive for the activity.
Kallithea is among the most beautiful and highly technical canyons of Greece.
