Canyoning Alepochori – the second closest canyon to Attica – otherwise called canyon of the mills which can be found in the town of Alepochori.
Narrow imposing and suitable for people who have no experience and want to try the experience of canyoning
Canyoning Alepochori is a beautiful experience, since the canyon for most of the months of the year is dry
(it can have water sometimes in the spring), something that allows the visitor to be able to experience canyoning
without getting wet and to be able to fully enjoy the small and big rappels of the gorge.
The activity begins by parking our vehicles next to the exit of the canyon and then hiking across a rough old dirt road on an uphill
course that last about 30-40 minutes. This route offers a unique view of the Gulf of Corinth. Activity Canyoning Alepochori
has 14 descents without any walking with its biggest descent being 25 meters high, it is well secured and is safe for beginners.
Its beautiful parts are many, for example its high walls and its big waterfall.
the canyon needs attention in some places that have landslides, the canyon is a result of seismic activity of the alkyonides area,
resulting in it being separated as if it has been cut with perfection.

The canyon is really close to Athens – almost 50΄minute drive from center of Athens.
The gorge is located in the small picturesque village of Alepochori, west of the prefecture of Attica and to get there
it takes about 50 minutes via the highway and then on a peripheral road which is in very good condition.
In Geraneia mountain there are 2 canyoning activities, one is Canyoning Alepochori and the other is Canyoning Gerakina.
