TMB – Tour Du Mont Blanc
The Mont Blanc Tour
13 days France Italy Switzerland
If hiking on the Tour du Mont Blanc is not one of your life goals, we would suggest that it should be done.
The Tour du Mont Blanc is not only the most popular hiking route worldwide but is also one of the oldest routes in the world.
It is also referred to as Europe’s most spectacular route, and along with Nepal’s Annapurna and Peru’s Cordillera Huayhuash one of the world’s three most iconic multi-day routes.
The Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB) is one of the most famous long-distance trips in the world, circling Western Europe’s highest peak in about 170 kilometers.
The landscapes it crosses uniquely, since the combinations of glaciers, alpine meadows, snowy peaks, lakes, rivers and waterfalls, make it impressive.
The trail makes the Mont Blanc circle starting from France, passing through Italy and Switzerland until returning to France.
On our hike we will pass through incredible landscapes taken out of fairy tales, suspension bridges, high waterfalls, rivers and valleys that generously offer us the unique magic of the Alps.
The Tour du Mont Blanc starts and ends in Chamonix, a mountain town and global hub of adventure sports in the French Alps.
Although not big, Chamonix is always busy and busy with tourists from all over the world…
Chamonix is often called “the adventure capital of the world” because of its bustling atmosphere, the multitude of adventures on offer, and the majestic mountains on its doorstep.
How difficult is TMB?
You don’t necessarily need to have a lot of experience in hiking, but you need to be in good shape. It is not easy to hike between 10 and 20 kilometers a day, although some of the kilometers of the route can be avoided if there is a problem.
The Tour du Mont Blanc is 170 km long with about 10,000 meters of ascent along the route. This may seem like a scary hike in numbers, you should remember that it will be comfortably covered due to the many days.
The whole venture is camping in organized and non-organized campsites that exist throughout the route.
