Scrambling Artemisio mount
Mountaineering route with techniques in the beautiful Mount Artemisio.
What is scrambling? It is mountaineering that has technical passages of rocky
points that require the use of hands with some basic climbing techniques.
Although it is not dangerous to participate, each person is required to be in good
physical condition, to have some experience in hiking, must not be afraid of heights
and we of course require good weather conditions for the specific activity.
The Artemisio mountain, which is located in Argolida, although very small at an altitude
of only 1777m., gives us the possibility to use the specific technique to climb to its peak.
The program Scrambling Artemisio mount usually begins in the morning hours and the total time of the activity lasts about 6-7 hours.
We begin with the receipt of the required equipment and the subsequent training and familiarization with our materials.
Then we hike 60′ to enter the technical part of the route.
The view of the Argolic gulf, the mountain plain, the beauty of the landscape enchants every participant in the activity.
Artemisio is a mountain in the Peloponnese located on the border of the prefectures of Argolida and Arcadia.
To the north it joins Lyrkeo, to the west it ends at the plateau of Mantineia and to the south it joins Ktenia.
It is part of the wider mountain range that connects the Corinthian Gulf with the Argolic Gulf and includes the mountains Kyllini, Oligyrto, Trachy, Lyrkeo, etc.
Its highest peak is located east of Nestani and has an altitude of 1,771 meters.
Pausanias mentions that at the top of Artemisio there was a sanctuary of Artemis.
Very close is the gorge of Inachos which is ideal for canyoningÂ
