🌲 Explore Nature: Hiking in Velitsa Gorge & Mount Parnassos 🌿

🗓️ Date: February 16, 2025
🕓 Meeting Time:

For those coming by our company bus: 07:00 at Syntagma
For those arriving directly: 09:00 in Tithorea
🌿 Route Description 🌿

Starting from Tithorea, we will hike along a beautiful trail that crosses the Velitsa Gorge, one of the most scenic spots on Mount Parnassos. The route leads us through areas filled with natural beauty, including dense forests, streams, and rock formations that offer stunning landscape variations. Along the way, we’ll enjoy the peacefulness of nature, the fresh scent of the forest, and the crystal-clear waters flowing through the gorge.

Route Difficulty: The hike is classified as moderate to challenging, with some sections requiring extra caution. Towards the end of the route, we will pass through secured sections (with fixed cables), adding a sense of adventure to our experience.

Trypi Waterfalls: Our final destination includes the Trypi Waterfalls, with the first cascading impressively through a hole in the rocks and the second reaching a height of 80 meters, creating one of the most breathtaking landscapes in Greece. The spectacle is mesmerizing and fully rewards the effort of our hike.

💦 Refreshing Break at Dipotama 💦

On our return, we’ll take a break at Dipotama, where two streams meet, creating a picturesque setting reminiscent of a fairytale. Here, you’ll have the chance to enjoy a refreshing foot dip or even take a plunge into the clear waters of the gorge, cooling off in nature after the hike.

🍽️ Enjoy Local Hospitality in Tithorea’s Square 🍽️

After the activity, we will return to the charming square of Tithorea, with its large plane trees, where we’ll relax and enjoy coffee and a meal at the traditional cafes and taverns of the village. The village, with its welcoming atmosphere and unique architecture, is the perfect destination to conclude this unforgettable excursion.

A small kit with the basics (bandages, antiseptic, blister ointment).
