Overview

In 2026, BOA raises the bar to a level only a few can reach.

This is not just another trip — it’s the ultimate BOA expedition of the year.

Réunion isn’t “just a destination.” It’s an island where water has carved legendary canyons, where waterfalls plunge into emerald gorges, and where volcanic landscapes meet the turquoise sea. It’s a place every canyoner dreams of — and now it becomes reality with BOA’s signature planning and standards.

This expedition is designed to bring two worlds together in one journey:

to offer beginners a safe, inspiring first step into canyoning, and to give experienced canyoners access to Réunion’s iconic lines — culminating in the crown moment of the expedition: a two-day Trou de Fer adventure with a bivouac inside the gorge.

With a small team, a perfectly balanced flow, and logistics that remove stress and leave only the experience, BOA takes you where stories turn into images — and images become lifelong memories.

BOA Expedition 2026: Réunion. The journey that will set the benchmark.

BOA Expedition | Réunion: The Canyoning Paradise (14 Days)

For the first time in Greece, BOA presents an expedition that is not just a trip.

It’s Réunion — the ultimate canyoning destination.

14 days filled with waterfalls, natural slides, volcanic landscapes, and ocean views you’ll never forget.

One island — two levels — one expedition

This program is designed for two worlds traveling together:

For beginners

The perfect introduction to Réunion’s waters through safe, enjoyable routes such as:

  1. Rivière des Roches
  2. Langevin / Bassin Bleu

And alongside canyoning, experiences that complete the journey: rafting, hikes, and relaxed explorations.

For experienced canyoners

Réunion’s big promise comes alive on legendary routes such as:

  1. Bras Rouge
  2. Trou Blanc
  3. Dudu

And the expedition’s peak moment:

Trou de Fer (2-day) + bivouac inside the gorge.

Réunion’s adventure mosaic

Between canyons, we live a full adventure program that ties the experience together:

  1. Via Ferrata Niagara Vertical
  2. Volcanic views at Maïdo & Cirque de Mafate
  3. Mini Fleur Jaune
  4. Free day
  5. Sea kayaking in the Saint-Gilles lagoon
  6. E-biking through lush green landscapes or along the coastline

Organization & team philosophy

  1. Small group (10 people)
  2. Mid-range accommodations in twin/double rooms
  3. Organized transfers
  4. Support from BOA and trusted local partners

This journey gives beginners the most beautiful start — and offers experienced canyoners an experience worth telling for years.

Accommodation on the island

We stay in comfortable, mid-range hotels and guesthouses, in twin/double rooms, carefully selected to match the expedition’s flow.

Overnights are distributed across key areas such as:

  1. Sainte-Denis
  2. the lush East
  3. Salazie / Hell-Bourg
  4. Cilaos
  5. the West Coast

Goal: fewer long drives and daily access close to canyons, trails, and lagoons.

What we expect to see

Réunion is a breathtaking blend of water and volcanic land: powerful waterfalls, emerald gorges, natural slides, deep basalt “ravines,” and dramatic volcanic amphitheaters (cirques).
