Just 20 minutes from Patras, on Mount Panachaiko, there is a small gorge with a continuous flow, the gorge of Elikistra. The gorge is located on Mount Panachaikos which occupies the northern and central part of the Prefecture of Achaia. With its height reaching almost 2000 meters (Palavos Tower 1,928 m.) The rivers Glafkos, Finikas and many even smaller mountain rivers originate from Panachaikos. The village next to the gorge is called Pournarokastro. Pournarokastro is located at the foot of Mount Panachaikos in the east of Patras, where it is 13 km by road from its center. Unique images with the alternation of the landscape and the exceptional view it offers, with Patras and its wider area, as well as much of western Achaia, the Gulf of Patras and aitoloakarnania.
