2019 Best Adventure and Cultural Taste of Nepal

Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu-1300m

Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu and meet, assist and transfer to the hotel with our representative. Welcome drinks on arrival and briefing of tour program by one of our representative from the company.

 

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing (B)

After breakfast start full day sightseeing in UNESCO heritage sites. Sightseeing at Bouddhanath- World biggest stupa, one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage where all devout Buddhists come for a pilgrimage, Patan Durbar Square– which is a distinct place for arts and architecture that reflect on each temple, monument and palace building that were mostly built during the Malla period between 16th, 17th and 18th and  Syambhunath– A Monkey Temple from where you can see the magnificent views of Kathmandu Valley and tribute to Buddhism. Rest of the time is free on your own.

 

Day 3: Kathmandu – White Water Rafting – Pokhara (B, L)

It takes approx 2 hours drive to reach rafting starting point Charaudi- 82 Km from Kathmandu.  After safety briefing given by river guide, we start rafting and stop for lunch in between. After lunch we hit white water section with few classes of rapids like “UPSET’ & “SURPRISE” at the rafting end point Fishling or Kuringhat. A cup of hot tea/coffee will be awaiting you. Have tea/ coffee and drive to Pokhara in private vehicle. Arrive in Pokhara hotel, check in and rest of the day free time. Pokhara is a remarkable place of natural beauty, situated at an altitude of 900m from the sea level and 200km west of Kathmandu valley. The enchanting town has several beautiful lakes and offers stunning panoramic views of Himalayan peaks. The serenity of lakes and the magnificence of the Himalayas rising behind them create an ambience of peace and magic. Check in hotel. Evening enjoy walking along the bank of Phewa Lake, admiring the stunning reflection of the Fish Tail Peak in the blue Phewa Lake waters.

 

Day 4: Canyoning Day Trip at Lwang Ghalel, Pokhara (B, L)

After Breakfast enjoy day Canyoning at Lwang Ghalel at Pokhara. It is 20 km and 45-60 minutes’ drive from hotel. On arrival briefing about the Canyoning by the expert – Canyoning is traveling in canyons using a variety of techniques that may include other outdoor activities such as walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping, abseiling (rapelling), and/or swimming at Lwang Ghalel. You will be provided lunch in the noon. In the evening, drive back to hotel and rest of the time free on your own.

 

Day 5: Pokhara – Hiley – 4 hours drive (B, L, D)

After breakfast, the guide escorts you and drive to Nayapool – 45km / 1 and ½ hour’s drive from Pokhara in private vehicle. Start trek to Hiley. After 15- minutes short walk along the bank of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1065m) a large village that has many shops & teahouses. From there, the trail continues through the village. The trail follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola.From there, the trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hiley at 1495m.

 

Day 6: Hiley – Ghorepani – 6hours trekking (B, L, D)

Today’s journey begins after breakfast as usual. The journey from Hiley to Tikledhunga- 1525m is easy. Leaving Tikhedunga, we begin our journey with steep climb to Ulleri. Ulleri is a large Magar village at 2070m. Then the trail continues to ascend more gently, through fine forests of oak & rhododendron towards Banthanti at 2250m. Then we make our trek towards Nangethanti at 2460m. After an hour walk brings you to Ghorepani at 2775m.Overnight at Guest House.

 

Day 7: Ghorepani – Poonhill – Tadapani – 6 hours walk (B, L, D)

This morning, we will get up early in the morning, and go for hiking to Poon Hill. From here you will see superb view of sunrise, and panoramic view of Himalayas, including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fishtail, and so on. After visiting Poonhill, we will come back to Ghorepani, have a hot breakfast, and continue walking to Deurali and to Tadapani. From Ghorepani to Deurali there is steep up route and straight up trail so the journey will be quite difficult. But from Deurali to Bahnthali there is a straight jungle route so the journey will be quite easy. We can also see monkeys and Langur sometimes. We will reach to Tadapani. Tadapni is at 2570m height.

 

Day 8: Tadapani – Ghandruk- 4 hours walk (B, L, D)

The day starts with short downhill. Leaving Tadapani, we descend steeply through forests and then the trail eases as we reach Ghandrunk (2000m), which is the village of Gurung people, one of the ethnic groups of Nepal, have their own dialect, typical culture, costume, and life style. This village is possibly the popular tourist destination that offers the beautiful mountain views and having easy connection with Pokhara or Kathmandu. Overnight at Guest House.

 

Day 9: Ghandruk – Tolka- 4 hours walk (B, L, D)

Today we begin our journey, from Ghandruk offering another Gurung village Landruk and finally to Tolka . Overnight at Guest House.

 

Day 10: Tolka – Pokhara (B)

Today we begin our journery offering all downhill to Pothana, Dhampus and finally Phedi which takes around 3 hours walk. Then 20 minutes drive to Pokhara hotel. Check in hotel and rest for sometimes after hot shower. Strolling around lake side, hire a boat and visit Barahi Temple – unique temple situated in the middle of Phewa Lake in the evening.

 

Day 11: Pokhara sightseeing (B)

This morning after Breakfast start half day sightseeing at Pokhara’s traditional old bazaar is colorful and is ethnically diverse market, Bindhyabasini dedicated to Goddess, Bhagawati, and another manifestation of Shati, Gupteshower Cave– popular for the different natural forms made from limestone deposits and Devi’s Fall which comes to its gushing best just before disappearing underground. Later you will have one hour boating in Phewa Lake and hike to Peace Pagoda from where you can see all the Pokhara valley and beautiful Annapurna Range at a glance.  Evening you will have leisure.

 

Day 12: Pokhara – Chitwan (B, L, D)

After breakfast, drive to Chitwan for 5 hours – 150 km in Tourist Coach. You will see very nice sceneries, rivers, farm land, paddy field, typical houses and life style of the people on the way to Chitwan while you drive. All the way you will descend down along the winding road on the banks of the Trishuli River. After checking in to the hotel and getting refreshed you will be briefed about full nature programs by our naturalist guide. Then we head on for activities. There will be a guided village walk and a walk on the banks of the Rapti River to watch the charming sunset views in the sub-tropical jungle. In the evening, dinner with cultural program by ethnic tribal people with their stick dance and tribal drums. Overnight at Chitwan.

 

Day 13: Chitwan (B, L, D)

Wakeup call with cup of hot tea/coffee. After breakfast on your choice visit to the elephant breading center to see baby elephants with bird watching in river bank, go for Canoe ride along the Rapti River. An excellent opportunity for bird watching and for seeing the 2 rare species of crocodiles; the Marsh Mugger and the only fish eating Gharial then you will be taken to real nature walk with different type’s vegetation to see many different types of floras and faunas. Before lunch you can take a leisurely relax little while. After lunch go for elephant safari, an excellent opportunity to see four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, monkeys, leopard, sloth bear, and the Royal Bengal Tiger. You will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Chitwan their home. Evening Slide presentation: One of our jungle experts will introduce background data and history of the Chitwan National Park as well as some other topics relating to wildlife. Overnight at Chitwan.

 

Day 14: Chitwan – Kathmandu, further drive to Bhaktapur (B)

Wakeup call with cup of hot tea/coffee. After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu for around 5-6 hours. And take a 1 hour more drive to reach, the city of Devotee or the medieval town, Bhaktapur.

 

Day 15: Bhaktapur Sightseeing, Typical Nepali Dinner with liver cultural show (B, D)

After Breakfast visit Bhaktapur, the medieval town or the city of the Devotees, preserves medieval arts, architecture, culture, and lifestyle to this date. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is the best preserved one of the Valley’s three Durbar Squares.  One is sure to feel like travelling back into the past while walking along the Bhaktapur thoroughfares, squares and streets. Visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Taumadi Square and Pottery Square.

Evening we will go for Typical Nepali Dinner with cultural show by different ethnic group. It continues for 3 hours.

 

Day 16: Departure (B)

After breakfast, pack up and drive back to Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport to fly back to your home with life time memory and nice handicraft souvenir on your back.

  • Arrival and departure assistance and an experienced English speaking guide during sightseeing in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Bhaktapur. Guide will be different in three cities. Naturalist guide in Chitwan.

  4. Cost for Porter: who can carry maximum 20 kg of luggage
