Rappelling Athens
A unique andrenaline inducing experience of abseiling from a height of 50 or 70 meter in Athens.
Most mountaineers and climbers want to climb high, but their descent is also important.
Many times the descent is done by using a rope, this is called rappelling.
Rappelling is something that is commonly used in many sports and various other situations.
The rescue teams, the fire brigade, the police and the special forces use the technical descent with a rope, i.e. rappelling.
Rappelling Athens is a unique activity that anyone can try.
A safe activity, non time consuming with a high dose of adrenaline, always creates an excellent experience.
It usually takes place in the morning hours and lasts about 1 hour.
The participant receives their equipment and is trained by the person in charge on the correct use of his body and hands.
We then approach the rappel point and begin our descent.
With only safety in mind, the descent is made using a unicorn rope and additional safety mechanisms.
The activity is available throughout the whole year and can be combined with additional activities
provided by BOA Base Outdoor Activities such as an underground tour of the mines of Lavrio,
extreme sports in Penteli and finally taking a unique ride with ebike mountain bikes in Parnitha.
The participants experiences can be captured by drone videography.
Activity point
The activity points (Rappelling Athens) are located in 3 places in Attica so that
each participant can choose the one closest to them.
In Lavrio, which has been characterized as a place with a great historical and monumental density.
Penteli and its marble quarries have also been known since ancient times.
And finally, Parnitha, which is the capital’s main source of oxygen.
All three regions are unique with their own peculiarities.
