Paragliding (Athens)or parapente: a unique taste of free flight, so close to Athens!
A smooth, quiet ride or an extreme activity, each one can choose their experience.
Paragliding Athens the word parapente is derived from the words parachute and pente (French for mountainside or slope). It’s one of the newest and simplest forms of personal flight, or as it has been described “pocket aviation”.
The activity usually takes place in the afternoons, about an hour’s drive from Athens, in the mountains near Megara, Plataies or Avlona. We launch from a slope, with the pilot and the passenger being tethered together to the canopy, while seated in comfortable harnesses. We take advantage of the rising air currents to gain altitude and fly. Flight duration may be from a few minutes up to 20 minutes, depending on weather conditions.
No prior experience is required to live this unique experience, as our certified tandem pilots will take care of everything to keep you safe and excited.
Eligible participants are everyone older than 16 years of age (provided that minors have both their parents’ permission). Also, participants should not have any health issues and should be up to 110kgs. The specific activity in case of cancellation due to weather can be replaced by ebike mountain bike
